What a magnificent performance from the boys yesterday at Marlow. The intensity they brought to the game was immense, and our passing and movement were outstanding. We went toe to toe with a very good Marlow team, and at half time were very unlucky to be 2-0 down, after we had created numerous chances, and Marlow only having two shots on goal. The second half (if not the first as well) I thought we were the better team and kept creating good chances whilst showing serious tenacity whilst out of possession. The boys deserved a goal, and got one via Gabe who went one on one with the keeper and blasted the ball past him in to the roof of the net. Good reward for a tireless display from the number 11, and no more than the whole team deserved. We couldn’t quite snatch an equaliser, but Toby and I are putting this down as a win. Freddie was man of the match for an all action, combative and skillful performance in the middle of the park, but well done to everyone involved. You were brilliant 🙌
